Jun 13th -- Greenwood, SC  --  The WSCGA Walton Horton & Jeanne Campbell Match Play Championship concluded today with championship matches being played.  All week the weather was beautiful and course in fantastic shape.

Championship Division

Dawn Woodard is the Walton Horton and Jeannie Campbell Match Play Champion.  Woodard defeated defending champion Lea Venable 3&2.  The match was tied going into the back 9, but Woodard won 4 out of the next 8 holes en route to winning the Championship.  Congrats Dawn!

State Division

Karin Wolfe won the State Division over Julie Snider.  Wolfe won 6 of the last 8 holes to win 4&2.  

In the 2nd bracket, Deborah Smith fended off a late surge from Cheryl Barden to win 2&1. 

And in the 3rd bracket, Heather Paddison won 2&1 over Melanie Wall.  Paddison lost the first hole, but immediately bounced back to win the 2nd hole and never trailed for the rest of the match.

A big thanks to the Links at Stoney Point for hosting the Championship as the course was in beautiful condition.  We appreciate all of the players who came out to play this week.  A lot of fun was had out on the course this week!
